Partial Solar Eclipses Inspired The Solar Boat Of The Sun God

It just came to my attention this afternoon that Irish archaeologist, and "aurophilic former Keeper of Irish Antiquities" at the National Museum of Ireland, Mary Cahill saw fit to mention my #Eclipsology hypothesis to the effect that the concept of the solar boat of the sun god was inspired by observations of the golden upturned crescent shape of the partially eclipsed sun rising out of water at sunrise, or sinking into water at sunset, near the conclusion of her presentation 'Looking at lunulae - lines, lozenges and zigzags' at Ireland's National Monuments Service's 5th Annual Archaeology Conference: Boyne and Beyond earlier this month. She also suggested that circumzenithal arcs may have inspired the concept of the solar boat. This is the first I have heard about that idea, and I will look into it further, but there should be little question that the upturned crescent of the partially eclipsed sun actually looks like a boat floating on the surface of the water during partial solar eclipses that occur at sunrise or sunset.
